Craggy Range

Terry and Mary Peabody searched the globe for the perfect place to start a wine business, to create a legacy. They found this perfection in two sites: the premium Gimblett Gravels district in Hawke’s Bay and Te Muna Road in Martinborough.

Craggy Range was the first winery in the Southern Hemisphere to be based on a single vineyard philosophy, making wines from multiple regions where grape varieties are keenly matched to place. Grapes are grown in winery-owned vineyards in Hawke’s Bay, Martinborough and Marlborough – sites selected for their special soils and climates.

The attention to detail and plot-by-plot vinification here is reminiscent of a top Bordeaux chateau.

The portfolio includes the Prestige and Family collections, as well as Limited Editions.

The Peabody family’s ambition to be recognised as one of New Zealand’s iconic wine producers has certainly come true and Craggy Range is now served in some of the world’s best restaurants.
